What is From Little India ?
From Little India is a non-profitable platform where we are dedicated to share each of our unique food experience with our valued visitors and also food lovers in conjunction of promoting the grandeur of Penang. In here, we usually use the abbreviation of F.L.I or simply pronouncing it as FLY for the name From Little India.
Why choose the name From Little India ?
It all started long ago, dating back to a time when I was about 7 years old. It was my first time at a local indian restaurant in Little India, Penang. What inspired me so profoundly was the authenticity and uniqueness of the food, the people, the ambience and also the customs. Although at that time of tender age, the lack of reading, writing and communicating abilities hindered me from sharing my food experience with the world, something deep within me incited, which I then developed a serendipitous fondness towards food. I believe every food we eat has a story to tell, and that is why I picked this very name.

Who are the people behind From Little India ?
Allow me to introduce myself. I am Dennis de Vosse, a Penang-born Eurasian as well as the owner and author of this site. No man is an island, and the same applies to me on building up this site and maintaining it, which I couldn't have done it all by myself. And so hereby as a small token of appreciation, I would like to forward my gratitude by including a few notable contributors who I greatly consider as part of the team, namely Yiphing, Andy, Gnoyaij, Paul and many others who have supported and helped me in many ways.
